The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 恶搞之外，还有点意思，尤其是来自伊朗那块。不过法国人拍这个题材没德国人拍这个题材讽刺，毕竟是农业大国、美食大国，肉都不吃，是不是傻子。

男主的表演具备异常强大的统摄力，精神世界的紊乱状态作为电影里的常见题库，被重新书写得有所惊喜。
非常黑色幽默的故事。素食者不让卖肉，前来挑衅。卖肉夫妇杀了素食者肢解贩卖，没想到这个肉质反而更加受到人们的追捧。素食者成为了肉食者的猎物，多可笑又多嘲讽。还是荤素搭配吧！！！
越看越像闹剧可又畏手畏脚了，
利用观众的同理心侧写主角，分散罪恶感。
茨维格的中篇小说里，最喜欢《象棋的故事》。电影虽不及原著，但改编也不错，男主演技好，最后的棋局拍的相当精彩。
