The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 真的挺好看的，单词故事简单却不幼稚，看到最后居然有点感动。特效画面也很赞，已经很接近哪吒了。

无法认同异己，无法原谅他人，无法承认失职，顽固父亲层层递进的情感宣泄，是社会对于遗属的讽刺；患得患失，过度谢罪，逐渐否定自我的店长和女司机，也是被舆论和道德观驱使的受害者。

故事非常有社会话题性，但处理得仍限于话题。日本电影越来越沉溺于独有的一种文艺气质（包括影像上的审美），太不屑于渲染，太偏好留白
沉迷于各种治愈却从不去面对问题本身的日本。
真让人难过啊！女孩的意外死亡让当事人们都陷入困境中，人活着时多关心一下身边人才是。
