The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 7分。基于历史人物及事件的再创作，一本从政黑皮书。文本可圈可点，剪辑还有完善的空间。一对亦师亦友的政坛新秀，目标一致但价值观截然相反。结尾俩人对应付偷鸡蛋的讨论，与开场一幕遥相呼应成为一个奇妙的戏眼。古话有云：不爱叫的狗才最凶猛。这部剧作非常形象地诠释：政治家和政客这两个概念的巨大区别。
“C’est l’histoire d’une jeune femme qui s'agite. Et c’est aussi l’histoire d’un grand désir.” 这段介绍很贴切。前半部分我是很不喜欢anais的，感觉这个女孩子很虚浮，包括中后部和emilie的初相识，都有一种极为自我关注的青年特征（哪里像是30岁）。最后一段相爱之后就落地了很多。
不提美国人的韩国政治片，都是伪历史，都属自嗨型。像普京说的那样，国家只有主权国家和殖民地两种。而这种殖民地的政治片，在架空历史后，就像小孩的过家家，只会博“大人”一笑，跟《南山的部长们》同样幼稚可笑。1
安娜伊斯但凡出场，都是横冲直撞的，奔跑的状态。她就这样奔赴爱情，去探寻她想要的。多少人妄图成为她，又有多少人，滞留在自己的舒适圈，不敢前行？她明明那么害怕坐电梯，却为了挽留爱人在电梯中相吻。

很久没有看到这么精准戳中我性癖的故事了……谢谢你，法国人。女作家给我感觉像更柔软一些的吉莲安德森。
整部电影有很多anais奔跑的镜头，代表了她横冲直撞的压迫性和急切。幽闭恐惧只是一种“逃避”，她宁愿不断奔跑，也不愿进入安稳步调。
在电影院看的。明争暗斗，为达到目的不择手段。在现实中，结果比过程重要；在电影里，过程比结果重要。鉴于我对政治类电影不怎么感兴趣的缘故，只能给三星了，个人喜好问题。
炸弹事件后的决裂有点过于“言情”，纯粹是为了炫演技。但还是很值得一看。
另外学到一招，当我爱的人要离开我的时候，我也要亲吻她的手腕说，我不同意。
池面好多，剧情还可以，怪兽巨大化，咋不变身个奥特曼呢？

有时候很难再被令人窒息的热烈所吸引，但你知道那只是你自己的问题
