The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 太有同感了。生命该是流动的，我却困住了。等待一个可以任由思绪松弛下来的时刻。需要一段时间什么都不做，准确地说还是要干点儿什么，就是思考。

感觉主角的设定有很多不可推敲之处，查了下果然是原著书中没有的人物。这种无父无母无孩无产的设定，给了电影某种“自由”，却也造成了遗憾？
游牧民族的灵魂居住在谁身上？
是我记忆里最在路上的电影了，像候鸟一样的离别与相逢。没有在时代而是归结在个人上找到一些本质的原因，也算是讨巧的地方吧。但如果没有办法深入谈一些时代群像的东西，可能对于这个这么好的题材来说，观众确实很难满意。
剧场版观影顺序：
首先让我联想起的倒不是泰伦斯·马力克，而是《愤怒的葡萄》，当然二者各自电影语言的分别可以说沧海桑田了。再过五十年或者一百年，社会会是什么样？电影会是什么样？谁知道呢。赵婷对非职业演员的调教看起来很有一套，而且不同于《骑士》的纯素人班底，弗兰西斯·麦克多蒙德那么精深的表演跟素人卡司们放在一起看起来居然那么协调，这个也挺厉害的。
两个字：自然。影片的主要元素很美国，房车、公路、营地、流浪等等。但和那些为了反叛或逃避的文青式“在路上”不同，主角的流浪很自然，这就是她的生活本身，尽管她有她的落魄和孤独，但并不可怜。正如她和小女孩说的，她是houseless，而不是homeless
不会有永别，我们路上再见。三星半
鸡皮疙瘩都看出来了，难以想象这么年轻的导演竟然能表达的如此成熟、克制、灵动、自由，如果在电影院看估计得哭
