The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 私认为配乐有些过满，冲淡了荒凉感，稀释了演员原本极好的情绪。
祝贺赵婷。讲点电影外的，那些人争执的国籍或者自豪感什么的，不过是自卑+民粹。
又细腻又克制，孤独且温柔。像看纪录片一样，真喜欢。
赵婷身兼数职的确保证了个人表达的一致性，但也因此而失去了更好的可能，至少在剪辑方面是有一些可以改善的地方的。
Authentic and hardcore. 女主与天地往来，与同类往来，但也不得不依靠快餐店甚至亚马逊的seasonal job获得最主要的收入，也不得不在最困难的时间求助于中产阶级。我觉得本片本身的cinematography再说，其最大价值在于“仅仅把镜头对准某样东西，你就在做某种表态了。这是不可避免的，因为你为它增加了一个视角。”这是个用fiction作为体裁的纪录片。
想起了《荒野生存》，没什么三段式，平铺直叙的节节生活，遇到人，被邀请，离开人，仿佛人的一生一样……总想到荒野生存中的那个小哥，如果他还活着，会不会也是无依之地的一员？

总有一个在路上
被悲伤孤独抽离后的私人救赎之旅。沿路的同类，兀自的山峦，远方的冷空气。回忆也许美，可是正在飞走对不对。
有趣的是，片中讲到那些创造了美国的伟大精神，先进沦为边缘，无依无靠，而这样一个故事的叙述者，来自外来移民。
不会有永别，我们路上再见。三星半
真正的诗意，隐藏在老无所依的边缘之地，属于无所依遁的边缘之人。
献给不得不上路的人，脑子里是John Ford，属于这个世纪的“愤怒的葡萄”，虽然“愤怒”几乎消失。
