The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 估计看过的人会陆续进来打低分，但我觉得这片子做的还挺用心，比那些玩烂梗洗钱硬植入的野鸡网大好多了。应该鼓励国产惊悚片的创作。不抱希望反而有点小惊喜。

爱听恐怖故事的女巫，儿童视角奇幻色彩！魔幻暗黑系童话！也只有国外敢这样拍了！虽然有些童真，但打发无聊也能看！女巫克里斯滕里特太可爱了吧！
世上有许许多多看似“怪异”的人，可他们也是人，也有一颗有温度的心，还望我们放下偏见，善待他们。也许你会说我咋想这么多，我无话可说，这就是我的感受吧。
呈现了一个小型社会，善良刻画的不够深刻，艺术性也未得到很好的体现，公平的线性曲折表达的也太委婉了，拍成了一部平铺直述的故事，两星给颜值。
所有小帅哥都是女主弟弟系列，剧情从杜家佳来到封建迷信的上水镇调查失踪的弟弟开始。很符合剧情水鬼的调性，故事背景发生在民国时期，服化道都很精良，韩栋无疑是点睛之笔，是线索也是唯一眼熟的明星～
我看片子不到5分钟就知道这不是恐怖片或者惊悚片了，就是一部儿童级别的魔幻片，而且只适合12岁以下儿童观看，反正我是陪我五年级的小儿子看的，全片没有恐怖或者惊悚氛围，倒是魔幻色彩比较重，不管是魔幻生物还是植物，亦或是魔法，都说明这就是一部儿童级别的魔幻片。我给3星5.5分，删掉了！
剧情垃圾 小男孩长得很奇怪 有种四十岁大叔的感觉 还是怪大叔...
不过人物设定上跟第1步是有衔接关系的，这里处理的还蛮不错。

能给七分了，相当不错的国产恐怖片，虽然还是套路故事，但女主在寻找弟弟的过程中完成自我救赎，韩栋这个角色实惨
故事挺有趣，就是一部闲时看个乐的电影。时长很短所以节奏很快，有些地方可能看不懂。
一直记着女巫在绝命毒师里的角色，那双标志的双眸和浓密的睫毛，奇幻的服装
想起来了，这女巫不是pinkman的女友吗
