The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 前半段异常唯美，后半段异常扭曲的血腥，但概念真的挺好的。
加兰仍然保持了前两部导演作品的高概念创作，但却仍然保持在高概念层面。所有要表达的都很直白给出，好在他对营造气氛特别在行，仍然可以让作品保持非常高品质和高辨识度。
比预想的好太多，有一流独特的影调，有鲜明的态度和主张，情节虽被极度简化，但更强调氛围和符号化的隐喻。A24的片子一直给我“人狠话不多”的感觉，身为男性比女性更极端的揭露男性的恶，包括伴侣间的情感霸凌，陌生人粗暴的冒犯，借宗教之名假虔诚真淫欲，露骨的对女性肉体的渴望……最后一幕也足够硬核，足以载入cult片史册。
3.5 摄影牛逼 隐喻生硬 故事太弱；看到不少呼应冯提尔的地方；丽达与天鹅那段的对话让人想到茨维塔耶娃的：她等待刀尖已太久（观影时错记成这个但似乎更贴切：她已在刀尖等待太久）
最后的one by one在未来应该会被经常提及了吧
这两年看了不少这种带有内在的主题探讨而外在表现选择恐怖/惊悚题材的影片，并且其主题大多为性别议题，似乎带有足够富有猎奇性质和视觉冲击力的类型元素能够很好地映射现实社会中女性面临的困境。
Alex Garland’s movie style really amazes me, he filmed the british countryside so beautifully. Wanna visa the forest of dean to see the tunnel now. Rory Kinnear got range, he can act every fucking thing, even a new born baby. Jessi Buckley is like made for these kind of movies. we lived under the patriarchy for so long. That birth scene.
最后一层一层地孕育出一个满嘴“爱你”的男人的时候，不寒而栗。那蕴藏在父权文化最深处的 toxicity 让人绝望。
我还以为结局是女主拿着斧子🪓往男人的脑门劈上去。
影调有一点刻意
谁都知道波兰斯基加塔可夫斯基会很牛逼，那也得有人家的节奏和深度啊......
全程尿点，不恐怖不惊悚微重口，打45星的短评清一色都是B癌晚期豆瓣文青。。
哎 又恶心又吓人， 看了只会对男人更加厌恶… 更不想找男友了
心理惊悚恐男cult片，整体氛围营造得很不错，对男权社会下的一次隐喻，男人的恐怖复杂且多样萦绕在女主身边，而且他们永远不停孕育重生，结尾和有些部分看得有点生理不适。
3+，氛围迷人。最后的分娩谁看了不得说牛逼，这器官比未来罪行猛啊。
好看！太好看了！称得上2022年度前三恐怖片。甚至仿佛能和女主共情，彻底把自己带入进去了。
当男人像俄罗斯套娃一样连环生娃的画面，应该可以载入恐怖影视的经典画面之一了。当一个成年男人用爱绑架你甚至威胁你要去死的时候，你一定要让他自便。

Dear Garland: Try to lay some decent plots as groundwork then upon that elaborate on visuals, not the other way round; for instance, at any rate there were some plots, not that they were nearly as stunning as the looks by any means, for the visuals to be based upon in your Annihilation, were there not? Please stick to that formula, comprende?
年度厌男电影，我大受震撼。 Naked stalker，以bitch称呼女主的男孩，问“你是否给过丈夫道歉的机会”的神父，认为女主报警小题大做的警察，以保护者自居的房东，统统分享同一张面孔，带来伤害的不是a man，而是the men。隐喻很直白，吃完禁果后伤害便接踵而来。最后看到那个刀片切手和男人连环生子时，我颤抖着放下碗和筷子……
