上帝让其复活，然后得偿所愿，与父母和解，获得尊重和认同，并最终重归于上帝。虽然是真人真事改编，但是突然转变貌似有些快。死缠烂打依旧是俘获好女孩芳心的有效手段。梅尔吉布森和沃尔伯格的相爱相杀父子情还挺让人共情的。男主从健康时的满身肌肉，到入学神学院时的大肚腩，再到最后病入膏肓时的浑身浮肿，化妆还是挺不错的。
